Jim Rice - CFUU Vice President

Jim lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Jim has been a practicing attorney for 30 years, with a practice concentrated in real estate transactions and financing. Jim holds a B.S. degree from the University of Oklahoma, an M.S. from the University of Michigan, and a J.D. from Harvard University. He is the program chair of the local Harvard Club, a past president of the local Phi-Beta Kappa Association, a volunteer lawyer for Legal Aid, and a long time precinct chair in his political party.

Jim has been an active member of the First Unitarian Church in Oklahoma City since 1977. He has chaired its weekly Sunday Morning Forum since 1980, is the current moderator for the congregation, has founder and chair for its Memorial Garden, and has served on the board of trustees for six years, including one year as President of the Congregation.   He has been a delegate to seven UUA General Assemblies and moderated a GA mini-assembly.

Larry Landrum

Board member Larry Landrum was born in 1946. He’s single and a 30 year resident of Blacksburg, Virginia. He’s been involved with UUism for 24 years, all of it as a member of the UU Fellowship of New River Valley in Blacksburg.

Larry has been a professor of economics at Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, VA since 1979.

Politically, Larry is a Libertarian and is a fan of the writings of Ayn Rand, Adam Smith and John Locke.

Larry’s hobbies include reading history and mystery fiction, hiking, canoeing and travel. Larry is also a member and site construction coordinator for Shadowlake Village, a 33 unit Co-housing community in Blacksburg. Larry finds Co-housing to be an exciting free market approach to many of the concerns our more liberal fellow UUs would solve through government action. When this project is finished, Larry hopes to begin a part time career in Co-housing consulting/development.

Cecil Bohanon

Cecil Bohanon is a Professor of Economics at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He earned his Ph.D. in 1981 from Virginia Polytechnic Institutue and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia. He has published numerous refereed and non-refereed articles and reports on a variety of applied public policy issues. He has been a member of the Unitarian Univerasalist Church of Muncie, Indiana since 1989, serving as President in 1995. He is currently second Vice President of the Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship.

Cecil is married to Barbara Alvarez, an Adjunct Professor of Music Education. They have two sons, Denis, age 5, and Dmitri, age 3.
